Most readers agree that Twisted Hate is the spiciest Twisted book. The enemies-to-lovers trope combined with friends-with-benefits trope makes this book extremely spicy! Which Twisted Book Is The Best? And HE DOES NO WRONG!!!! He didn’t need to grovel because HE IS PERFECT IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE (if it isn’t obvious enough I’m pretty much in love with him lol) I enjoyed it. It was nothing special and I honestly don’t think it was memorable but it definitely wasn’t what I would consider a bad read. A lot of the issues that I had with this book had to do with me and my personal preferences when it comes to romance which is why I would still recommend this book if the premise sounds interesting to you. If you end up reading it then I hope you enjoy it!

Romance is shown more in beautiful lines but otherwise, it’s all steamy sex scenes. I don’t mind open-door scenes but here they were close to 50 shades and a little cringe for me. That ‘Twisted’ part in title makes sense now. 😂 Regal, strong-willed, and bound by the chains of duty, Princess Bridget dreams of the freedom to live and love as she chooses. Yes, it is explicit. Alex gets rough with Ava and he loves dirty filthy talk. So if you love that, this book is for you. But despite her broken past, she’s never stopped seeing the beauty in the world…including the heart beneath the icy exterior of a man she shouldn’t want. But yeah, Alex's broken record was to please: "stop trying to humanize me, I am your bad guy." He also guarantees people that "biological reactions can be mastered"

The thing that bothered me the most, however, wasn't the writing, it was the TIME JUMPS. This was insane. I felt like this book was just a bunch of one-shots (by that I'm not talking about the smut but rather emphasizing how uncoherent the story was, it felt like a collection of short stories about the protagonists) and absurdly huge time jumps in between. Often times, I found myself really enjoying the story and the progression of it and then boom, A THREE-MONTH TIME JUMP that provided nothing but gave the author a chance to move on with the next plot point without building any relationships between the characters.

As I said most twists and turns were predictable and I could see revelations of both characters’ past coming but still I was surprised in the climax. Alex’s reason for letting Ava go after the climax was logical but I also felt it was unfair. I rooted for Ava at this point and I’m so very happy and kind of proud of Ava for not forgiving Alex easily and not letting him in her life without making him earn her trust and love again. The book earned extra brownie points for that. End is good and as I expected but I have to say I’m really excited for Bridget and Rhys’ story.

The four books in the twisted series are connected as Ava, Bridget, Jules and Stella are best-friends, making their lives connected. However, each book has it’s own twisted couple and storyline which you can read as a standalone. How Many Books Are There In The Twisted Series? all the secret glances and soft touches i was expecting? non existent to be honest. i think part of it also has to do with the slow burn i didn't feel. i would have thought they had their first kiss around, at least, 60% or so, with everything before being full of stolen glances, touches, and moments between them. Theirs is a love that was never supposed to happen—but when it does, it unleashes secrets that could destroy them both…and everything they hold dear. Shy and introverted Stella Alonso, a social media star, is balancing her two jobs and has no time for love but she’s a romantic deep down. reading this after joshjules was a mistake and tbh even alexava had a better story/chemistry than bridgetrhys 💀 i felt nothing for them and between them.

Won't kiss during sex, because he hates intimacy. He hates birthdays because everyone has one. He thinks everyone wants him for his magnificent shlong. He has been controlling his family's company since he was 14, because he was always knew he would be CEO one day and his uncle would listen to his 14 YEAR OLD DEMANDS. He also slut shames his own friends. In Costa Rica, you asked if I’d ever been in love. I said no.” I lowered my head until our foreheads touched and her lips were scant inches from mine. “Ask me again.” I really liked the fact that Ava’s brother did not forgive Alex at the end. Honestly, I thought that was very realistic considering Alex’s betrayal of their friendship and the way he manipulated both Josh and Ava. I also found that aspect quite refresh since it leaves their friendship open for further development later on in the series (in Josh and Jules’ book).
