The box had sat for a full day before I got to it, and he couldn’t concentrate on anything until it was opened and set up, but had to wait until I picked up my camera from the motorhome, where I’d forgotten to take it home from, and charged it up. I had heard about canted flwyheels, but didn't know what that meant until your pics; thanks for that. Challenging your friends to a battle with the Nerf N Strike Elite: Hyper-Fire Blaster proves a versatile choice. The dart it normally sitting in the barrel poking out slightly so I can grab it or sometimes pop a pen down the barrel to move it out. The age range is appropriate though, these darts don't half sting when they hit, and 6 year olds as a rule simply don't have the ability to be safe or accurate. It weighs around four pounds fully laden, which is not too bad, but noticeably heavier than the Rapidstrike.Unlike most flywheel blasters, it uses a conveyor system to feed darts into the flywheels, rather than a pusher mechanism. Posts which are commissioned by/in collaboration with brands, supported by brands, or reviews, will be labelled as such. Considering small parts included, please keep in mind that it is not suitable for kids under 36 months of age.

Personalised advertising may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of information under California and other state privacy laws, and you may have a right to opt out.The other thing you notice is how much quieter and smoother it is than the older full-auto blasters too. The only reason I would tell anyone to not get it, is because I want to keep the advantage on the nerf battle field. But if it fits you, it makes a fantastic full-auto blaster for covering or defensive roles in a NERF war.

Some of our vintage or prior versions of toy and game instructions may be more difficult to decipher or have less clarity. However, it is let down by a tendency to jam, especially with older darts and I found it uncomfortable to use. The blue plate must be removed first, meaning that the orange plate must be place back into the grey plate first. Baby and infant toys are great, but as your children get older they move on, and if they're anything like my boys then it won't be long before they are drooling at the big kid toys. You are supplied with 25 Elite darts, but it will take any Nerf darts, and you'll probably need them.

We also found that the canted flywheels, while also improving accuracy, seem to help out with both the overall range and the consistency of the distance the darts flew. The HyperFire has the highest advertised rate of fire of any current N-Strike Elite blaster - five darts per second. While I think it looks quite cool, the first thing that struck me was that it is seriously lacking in tactical rails – one compared to compared to its main rival’s four.
